NEW ZEALAND GOLF COUNCIL.
(feess association telegram.) k DUNEDIN, September 27. At the annual meeting of tho New Zealand Golf Council, the statement or receip-ts and expenditure showed a very satisfactory-financial position. It was reported that the following clubs had afiliated during the year:—Lawrence, Gore, Waverley, Kimbolton, Balclutha (men's clubs). St. Clair, Invercargill, Westport, Greymoutk and Hagley (ladies'). It was decided that the championship of 1909 be played at Auckland, the open championship to be. one of tho events. It was decided that the next amateur championship be open to all amateurs who are members of recognised golf clubs.
