The Council met at 2.30 p.m. VARIOUS BILLS. Tho second reading of the Welling-ton-Manawatai Railway Purchase Bid was carried on the voices. The Agricultural Produce Sale and Importation Bill was read a second time pro forma and referred to the Stock Committee to take evidence. The Christchurch City Sanitation Biil was reported from committee with slight amendments. The Council rose at 4.50 p.m
