As usual, th" book contains complete details of the r.icemeetin.ss ami trotting meetings held by clubs using the totalisator, the racing statistics for the oast season, including the winning sires, winning horses, and winning owners. The Kules of Racing, as amended hy the repent Conference, tho list of registered colours, entries for future classic and weight-for-ngo events, results of tbe past year's blood stock pales, and a complete index of both galloping and trotting horses arc amo n s the contents. The "Turf Register'" is published by the Christclrirrh Press Company, to whom early application should be marie for copies. Owners of horses engaged at the Grand National Mooting are reminded that the Accident Fund fee of £1 for tho new season must be paid before any horse can bo weighed out for any race. The Canterbury Jockey Club receives acceptances for first d:iy event/; at its Grand National Meeting up till eicht o'clock this evening; also final payments for the Grand National Steeplechase, Grand National Hurdle Race, nnd Winter Cup. The Rand wa.s scratched for tho New Zealand Cup yesterday morning. Ex moor was scratched for all engagements at the Grand National Meeting yesterday morning. At the annual nicer n~ of the Hawke's Bay J.C. yesterday, the anr.u-I re->ort stated that a mortgage of £1000 had been paid off, and the racecourse and buildings were now <tee from encumbrances; The money piid in stakes last year amounted to £7f90, an increase of £370 on tbe sum uaid the previous year. Tne profit and »<>ss account disclosed a profit of £'22?,\). Sir William Russell was re-elected president.
