The heavy rain that has 'fallen almost continuously during the past week has left the traoks at Riiocarton in a wretched state. By reason of tJiis, fast work of any kind ha« been nest to inrpossiblo. a fact that ■will prejudice the dhaiices of tiho local horses intondea to conrpete at the Wellington Meeting next week.
