The Secretary of the Board of Control views the English counties' action as an attempt to force the hands of the the Board.
Noble favours triangular matches, though lie says they should not take place at shorter periods than ten years. Tlireo years would be too frequent for the countries concerned. It looks as if the Marylebono C.C. intend to make a cricket carnival next season, and he thinks it should bo supported by the M-orld's cricket bodies. The "Observer" complains that the Counties are forcing the Marylebono Club to commit a breach of faith regarding tho next- visit. This dragooning of Australia is bad form and panders to the spirit of gladiatorialism, which has injured football.
