During the presentation of prizes to the cadets, tho State Commandant, Colonel Lo Meeurier denounced tho apathy shown in the State in regard to military matters. The Premier said that the sooner people realised that tho CoramonMealth was unable to maintain a standing army the better. He would penalise any man. by the loss of the fr.inc.t_e, who failed to quality for the service iof his country.
