In view of the imports of Australian flour and tho reduction in prioo of the locally manufactured article, a decline in llit , price of wheat was to be expoetod. Very little business has been cone in this cereal for some time past, and at present there is no enquiry beyond those millers ivho are working on sni.il 1 stocks. Meet of t'lio. large millers mc well supplied, and the curtailment of tho output consequent upon the amount of Australian flour coming to hand hits mr.do stocks hold out longer than +hey otherwise would have clone. It Is 'exported that wheat hiis changed hands at 4s at .a country station, and this is the nominal value that buyers generally place upon :t. The only other business reported is a bettor enquiry for potatoes, aivl D»>rwents and Up-to-Datos are again eqmJ in price,- namely, £3 10s per ton at country stations. The-ro is %'cry little enquiry for seed at pro-sent. The undermentioned are the prii.ee uaid to farmers at country stations, froo of commission, except where otherwise stated :— Wheat—Nominal, 4s, at country nation*. Oats—Nominal, 2e 3d to 2s 4*d, at country stations. Barley—Nominal. Cowgrass—Dd to 10<3, best grade 101-d. l>p.,s—Partridges, 3s 6d to 3s ( *d ; Prussian Blues, Sβ 6d, at country stations. Flour—£lo 10s per ton. Bran —£G 5s locali £6 f.o.b. por ton. • Pollard:— £7 per ton. Oatmoal —€l4. Oatsheaf Chaff—£4, at country stations. Potatoes—£3 10s for Derwen-ts aud op-to-I>ates. and early varieties fwed £3 5s to £3 79 6d, at country stations. Onions—£6 ss, delivery in a fortnight, at country stations.
