A very interesting game was played between Sydenham and Christchurch on the South Park. Tho teams were evenly matched throughout, Sydenham eventually winning by 4 points to 3. Sinclair potted a goal for the winners, and AVinnie scored a try for the losers. Mr Hiddkstone was referee. , Llr.~cod _.'oatcd a surprise by drawing with Albion on the South Park, each side scoring three points. The play, all through, was very even. For Albion Talbot kicked v penalty goal, and Piercy scored for Linwood. Mr Harmau was referee. • Old Boys defeated Canterbury College on tho North Park by 12 points to nil. Guiney (2) anel Mason scored tries, Parsons converting one. Mr Soxton was referee. Tho game between Merivale and Lyttelton Pirates ended in a draw, neither sido scoring. Tho game was one of the finest seen on the Port grcund, both sides beirtg ovenly matched, and tho match was mostly a forward game. The i_;ue was in doubt right up to the call of time, when tho whistle sounded. Hath sides in the second spell on several occasions wern veryj near scoring. It was a hard, fast struggle, but entirely devoid of rough play. Mr J. Pei-ke was referee. Playing at Ambcrley, North. Canterbury A be-it Ambcrley by 20 to nil, tries being scored by" D.* Coates (2), P. Barr (2), Harmau, and AY. Keir. Coates converted a try. Mr J. Lindon was the referee. Woodend beat North Canterbury B by 33 points to nil. Mr S. Rombon. rcfereed.
