ALBION v. LINWOOD.
These teams, met on the west ground, Albion winning by 12 pcmts to nil. Soon after play commenced tho Greens were defending their lines, and a few minutes afterwards were forced. Albior were awarded a free kick <ifter the kick out, and Stevens took an abortive shot at goal. Alexander got away with the ball a little later, and play was confined to Albion's twentyfive. The Greens secured a mark in Albion's territory, but a passing rush by Burns, Weston, and Gray relieved. Linwood again attacked, but Weston centred play by a good kick. Stephens marked a little later, and from the kick fast following up had Linwood defending vigorously. A scrum followed; near the goal line. Burns obtained possession, and 'after beating

Egan and Harvey beat the Albion backs badly just *etorc the spell closed, but Burns, running round, secured the ball, and, by a good kick, transferred play to neutral territory. On resuming AVeston made a splendid run. and took the play right on to the Linwood line, hut tho Greens managed to'cent re. From a kick Hardingham secured tho ball, and rati right up to the goal line. He was confronted by Dir_c, but- kicked over his head, and in the chase for the ball ho was obstructed hy one of the Lm-wo-od men. and a try wis allowed. Stephen*'* Kick went wide. From a scrum AVeston obtained possession, and potted a neat gcal. Albion continued to attack, but Dinele centred the play, which «as transferred to Albion s twenty-five, and they were compelled to force. Linwood forced Albion again in the next few minutes, but alter an exchange ©f kicks Henry found tho line near the hilfway flag. Linwood had Albion defending from this out, but nothing further resulted. Mr C. Read was referee.
