THE NEW ZEALAND UNION. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIN, May 8. At a meeting of the New Zealand AtJilotic Union to-night, it was decided t<> disqualify the Southland Caledonian Society, and forward the disqualification to tho New Zealand Sports' Federation for endorsement. Iliis action aroso through tho Southland Society allowing a disqualified competitor to take part in their New Year gathering, dospito representations from the Union. | Should the Sports' Federation endorse i tbo Union's disqualification, tho Society's directors will be debarred from taking part in or controlling any branch of sport in the Federation. ' Messrs Aschman and Good, of Christ- ; church, were appointed to represent tho Union at the special general meeting of tho Now Zealand Sports Federation on May 20th.
