In response, Herr Kaibelik- thanked tho deputation for their kindness in'meeting him, and spoko in high terms of the appreciation of music shown by the American and Canadian people, and further added th*t it h«d always been his ambition to tour tho British colonies. Ho had made throe efforts bo visit Australasia, but, owin? to his numerous engagement*, had been unablo to definitely arrange lor a visit, but was pleased to say that at last his ambition was about to be realised. His knowledge of the Australian people was not so limited as some would imagine, as several of his most valued friends were Australians.
