United Press Association—By Electrici Telegraph—Copyright. , SYDNEY, May S. JMcCubbin, chief engineer of the Bega, statvd at the enquiry that he did not think the increased Jisfc of the vessel was due to water, but to the cargo. Tho Bega was a tender ship. The chief officer, who had charge of the stowing of the cargo, said he knew that it did not shift, because it was a moral impossibility for it to do so. Ho did not consider the Bega a tender ship. Ho could advance no theory for the disaster, and had given up trying to solve the problem.
