ST. BARTHOLOMEWS. KAIAPOI.
The meeting of parishioners of St. Bartholomew's, Kaiapoi, Tuesday evenine;, the Rev. J. Holland (vicar) in the chair. The statement-of accounts showed receipts £273 6e'4d, including proceeds from sale of work and produce £86 8s 4d. The. payments for stipend, organist, etc.. left a balance of £42 5s 6d., The liabilities were shown as £67 13s 6d. which were met by the foregoing balance, and an advance of £25 from a parochial' fund. Tho amount, of" £211 Gs 2d had been expended on tile roofing, repairs aad painting, on which, account £91 Is had been raised locally and £125 advanced on loan from the Church Property Trust. In this account there was a balance in hand of £4 15s lid. The narochial fund in the hands of Dr. Cravshaw showed receipts £48 7s 7d, and a balance of £44, lls Id, from which £25 was advanced to the general fund. The cemetery account shewed £15 Is 9d in the hands of the vicar. The church officers elected were: Dr. Crawshaw, vicar's warden; Mr R. Dunn, people's warden; .Messrs E. E. Papprill, H. Oram. A. T. A. Gat?s. C. Hoskin. G. Fantham, J. Bi'r@?sß nnd R. Hoyward. vestry. An offer of £40-was announced to have bc»B made.towards the cost of enlnrgiug tho organ, estimated io ccet £115.
