Daniel Smith, £92 Is 4d. James Ness (Mr Cunningham) daimed £100 from G. J. F. Lubloir (Mr T. M. Wilford), balance of cammission on the sale of defendant's property for £15,000 to Mr G. R. Fail. Magistrate gave judgment for defendant with caste. S. P. Andrews (Mr' Russell) claimed possession of a horse valued at £20, and £2 damages, from G. W. Gronin (Mr Leathern) under a bill of sale given by a man named Millsto F. D. Kesteyen, who transferred it to the plaintiff. The defence was that the norse had been given to the defendant tuuder a bailment prior to the bill of sale. The defendant was unable to produce the bailment, and judgment was given for Dlaintdff for possession, but no order was made regarding damages. Mason. Struthers and Co. claimed from JamPβ and Lney Thomson, £1 17s 6d for a lawn mower suipjlied,. The female defendant appeared and said that she had nothing to do with the lawn mower. It was ordered by her husband James Thomson. Judgment was cnVen for defendant as against Mm Thomson and jn&«""ejit for plaintiff as against James Thomson. Messrs O. Ferrier. J.P.. and G. A. Lwm. J.P., -presided at tlhe Lyttei+om Maeifitrate's Court yesterday, when two first offenders, charged with drnnkennps*, wore each fined five shilling, with the neual alternative of twentyfour hours' imprisonment.
