METHVEN STOCK SALE.
Thero "was another fairly large yarding of stock and a large attendance at the Mcthven stock sale on Thursday. Tho entry was about 13,000, and prices for nearly all kinds of sheep' showed a decided increase on rates ruling lately. There was a rise of from Iβ to 2s per head in store sheep. Among tho sales were:—72 fat lambs 13s 10d, 80 fat lambs 14s, 66 lambs 7s, 130 ewes and wethers (on account of James Johnston, Highbank) 16s, 120 two and fourtooth wethers los 6d. 680 four tooth wethers (on account of H. J. Harrison, Drayton) loe, 200 merino ewes 2s od, 317 two-tooth ewes (on account l>. W. McLean, Mount Hutt station) 14s, 100 e-wes 8s 6d, 773 four-tooth wethers (on account of Mount Possession) 16s 7d, 238 merino ewes (on account of Black Hills station) 4s 4d, also, on account same station, 357 four-tooth wethers 10s lOd, 406 store lambs 6s 7d.
