(SPECIAL TO "THE FBESS.") . WELLINGTON, May 1. The Matsushima was here thirteen months ago, along with tho Hashidato and Itsukushima. The officers were:—Captain. K. Nomaguchi, Commander M. Yosnida. Lieut.-Command-ors G. Katsuki and M. Naruee, Lieutenants Kuyega, H. Akinoto, J. Nachida, I. Kanesha, and H. Akiyama. She bad a crew of about 300. abry the officers who were in the ship when she was in- New Zealand have since been transferred to other vessels. Both officers and men made many friends during their brief stay in Wellington; and several have kept up a correspondence.
