(PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND. May 1. During the four weeks ended April 18th, the Waihi Geld Mining Company crushed and treated 30,173 tons of ore for a return of buHiou valued at £70,263. This shows 9 slight decrease upon the return for the. previous month, when the value of the bullion won was £71,650 (% record), though a large tonnage waa on that ocoaaion treated, namely, 31,330 tons. The present return is an morease compared with that for. tbe corresponding period of last yeear, when 27,655 tons yielded £69,906. The total amount now produced by the _greart parent mine of Washi is over 6J millions sterling', or in round figures £6.557,862. During April th« Wakrtahi Gold Mining Company crushed and treated 403 tone oi quartz and lllb of picked «tone for a return of 6150z of bullion, valued at £1748 11«. This shows a slight decrease compared with the return for March, though in that period the larger tonnage of 443 ton* was treated foT the yield of £1773 las sd. The total amount won from the mine to date is £647,564 15s 3d.
