TO THli EDITOB 01 "THE PKKSS,"'
Sir,—Aßow mc space to record a danger to life end Mmo to wnicn i and tho person with mc was subjected by the driver <rf * motor-car last night. I was driving to Canton at about 6.30 p.m., and at a part of the road where the railway is taal upon an embankment some 10ft high, a motor-car coming up from the opposite direction on the wrong eide of the road forced mc to pull up altogether, as dose «s 1 could get to thia embankment, while it passed so near to my gig that had the nag I was driving been the least bit restless, it must have backed either across the car's path, or against it, and a .smashup must have followed, I suienat that motor-car drivers should; be co-mpel-kxl at law to keep their own side of tiro road at all times, Jut especially at night. I make this statement openly, so that the owner of the oar may make any explanation he likes. My companion is a witness to the truth of my ] ete., AttßErr Oxford East, April 27th.
