CHRISTCHURCH MUSICAL UNION.

The committee of the Christdhurch Musical Union have arranged the approximate dates of concerts for the season 1908, and of the works it is intended to perform:—May 27th: "Hiawatha," by Coleridge Taylor (the whole of the work set to music), "The W<3dding Feast," "Death of Mranehoha, ,, end "Hiawatha'a Departure." July 28th: Orchestral. September Ist: Miscellaneous. October loth: Orchestral. December 15th: "Creation." In addition, the "Messiah" will be given as a public concert in oomnection with the opening of the City organ. The following soloists have been engaged for "Hiawatha" :—Sopreoo, Mms Hudson (Dunedin); tenor, Mr Frank Graham ; baritone, Mr Hamilton, Hodges.
