Tho Penguin arrived this afternoon with gear for the ealvago operations. Mr Daniels, .vho is in charge of the work, visited the scene of the stranding this afternoon, and is preparing {hi- plans. Tho water is too high on hoard to allow of steam being got up, but Mr Daniels hopes to be able to get" a donkey engine aboard ito-niorrow to pump out the water. It is supposed that the water ha.s gob in 'through the port-hole*, there heing no evidence of any other damage. Th. chances cf refloating the vessel nre considered favourable.
