THE LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION.
(SPECIAL TO "THE FElffl.") DUNEDIN, April 24. Mr W. F. Massey, Leader of the Opposition, gives a flat denial to the rnmours about a coalition, and sayo he ia here on party business. When shown a Press message on the subject to-day he said: —"I am quite prepared to give it a flat denial. You know I am not giving any interviews about my business here. When i come here again I shall probably have something to say from the pubho platform." "When will you be here again?" the Leader of the Opposition was asked. "I can't say. I have a good many engagements at the present moment, and a good deal of business to do, co it is quite impossible for mc to say anything beyond that I propose to be back here before tho general election. Anyhow, that ia all 1 can say in the meantime. I have just about got through my business here, and I am going away to-morrow morning. I have business which will occupy mo a day or two in Canterbury, and then I will cross over to Wellington."
