The "Mataura Ensign" records tho death at Zeehan, Tasmania, of Mr Cornelius O'Hara, who was once well known in tho Gore district. He was in business in Invercargill for many years, but eventually migrated to Otama, whore tho family still reside.

(ritEss association te_eg:ra_:.) MASTERTON, April 24. The death occurred at the residence of her daughter, Mrs A. Lewin, at Masterton this afternoon, of Mrs Kate Remington, wife of Mr A. E. Remington, M.P. for Rangitikei. Mrs Rom- ' ington had been on a visit to her daughter, who is sorioitsly ill, while Mr i Remington was visiting his constitu- ! onts in the backblocks of Rangitikei. Mrs Remington was taken ill on Monday, and rapid erysipelas set in, and death resulted at 4.30 this afternoon. Mrs Remington's illness was totally unexpected. Mr Remington received a telegram at Taihape yesterday informing him of Mrs Remington's sudden and serious illness, and hastened to Masterton as soon as possible-, arriving here by the Napier mail tram at 3.30 this afternoon. The deceased was a native of Sussex, England, and was fifty-seven years of age. Two daughters, Mrs A. Lewin, of Masterton, and Miss F. C. Remington, of Wellington, and one son, a residont of Now Plymouth, besides Mt Remington, aro loft to mourn their loss.
