Messrs W. W. T«nner, I). Sykes, and J. Barrett, J.P.s, presided at the. >lag»trate's Court yesterday.
Thomas Chapman, a second offender for drunkenness, was fined 5s and costs.
A charge against William Morris of committing"" a crime against a gird under the age of sixteen years was adjourned till May Ist.
Arthur Dillmore and Eugene Spitz were each fined 10s and costs for riding bicycles without lights. George Kerr was charged with failing to observe the traffic regulations in regard to turning a corner. After hearing the evidence the Bench dismissed the caee.
Wm. Jones, who did not appear, was charged with boarding a tram car while in a state of intoxication, and with leaving the car while it -was in motion. The Bench inflicted a fine of 10s and coste on each charge. May Sidon was charged with importtining passers-by in Manchester street. The chief witness for the prosecution did not appear, and on the application of Mr Donnelly, who appeared for defendant, the case was dismissed without prejudice.
John Black (Mr Doionolly) was charged with using obscene language.' The complainant- in this case did not appear, and it also was dismissed without prejudice. a
