The "Bruce , Herald'" savs:—ln regard to candidates for Bruce, Mr W. D. Mason is willing to contest tho setvt with Mr James Allen, but leaves tlio matter in the hands of his party. Mr Thomas Mackenzie, whoso name was iv other quarters associated with tho coming Bruce election, will not be a candidate. Mr Mosley will net stand. Mr J. C. Anderson is being strongly urged to stand, and Mr Peter MciSknnming is being sounded in tho matter. Tho only one willing to stand is the one tho party docs not seem to want, and that, too. after the good right he- put up at last election. Mr Dugald Macphersou has definitely decided to contest the Wallace seat at tho forthcoming general election. -Mr Macphersou states (says the Otautau "Standard") ho has received abundant offers of support to warrant the stop ho is taking, and purposes commencing his campaign in earnest in arnplo time to allow for his compassing the wholo cloctorato and addressing tho electors.
