Tlie report was received, i Jlepers M. Sandstein ami Son wrote offering tho Association a challenge cup to bo competed for annually in any way the Association thought fit. It was decided that tho offer bo held over for consideration till the first general meetin'j: of delegates. Tho iSpecial Committee reported on tho proposal to send a representative toam to Auckland. The team would leave Christchurch on .lime 2Uin, and would bo absent for seven days. The coof was estimated at about £*JO, to be met by a contribution of £20 from fho Association, £'25 to be collected, £11 to be provided- by tho clubs represented at £1 por playing member, and the balance ! (£Qi) to l>o provided by the members of the team. In order to grant £20 for tho. project, notice was given to rescind the motion earmarking a fund for the "improvement of grounds." This was approved, as the Association had no grounds to improve. It was explained that tlie estimated- cost was put at a high figure, and any margin would bo in favour of the individual members of the toam. Tho report was adopted. Mr G. W. Fords offer to act as honorary coach to this team was accepted. On Mr Bundle's motion, the dolegates to tho New- Zealand Association wore, instructed to support tho, appointment to tho New Zealand Jixecutivo of several officers who wero nominated as active hockey men. Mr A. Stowart wae'appointed selector of the Saturday junior team.
