Tho annual nominations for the office of Mayor in. connection with. tihe cities and borougjis of New Zealand, took place yesterday.

OEERJSTCHXJRCH. For tie city of Christchurch, the present Mayor, Mr Geo. Payling and CJouncilloT Charles Allison were nominated. The election will take place on the 29th inst.

WOQLSTON. For the Borough of Woolston, Mr. John Richardson, the retiring Mayor, was the only candidate nominated, and he was declared dtaly elected.

LYUEEI/DON. Mr S. R. Wobb (the present Magyar) and Mr Oolin Cook, a member of tine Borough. Council, have been nominated for the office of Mayor of LytteLtan, and the pofl of 'tihe raitcipayere will be taben on Wednesday, 29th. inst. J at the Goiomste' Hafl.

KAIAPOI. Mr J. H. Blac&weQ has been elected Mayor of Kaiapoi, unopposed. .

RANGJORA. CouncSOor C. W. Bell was the on3y ODconcnaition far tie Mayoiralty, and he was declared duly elected.

AUr Henry D*vds, ibeing t!he only candidate nominated, was declared' duly, elected 'Magaar cf Addburton. This makes has edxtih sucoessive election without opposition.
