THE OAMARU TOURNAMENT.

OAMARU, April 17,
Tho Oamaru .bowling tournament commenced to-day in fine weather. The entry was sufficient to mako up four sections, one of which was played pn the Waimate green, the results'of which latter games arc not obtainable. Tho following rinks were in at the close of the third game of the day:— Citizens' Match—Sealey (Timaru), Paterson (Gore), McGallen (Sydenham), Baillio (Kaitnna). Campbell (Ashburton), and Clark (Palmerston). Meadowbank Match—Howe (Oamaru), Harraway., (Dunedin), Taylor, (Oamaru), Watson (Ph_ni._), McLaren ("Thinedin), and D. Bee (Phoenix).
Ph_nix "Match—Lefevre (Palmerston), Sanders (Kaituna), Hancock (St., Clair), Potter iFhenix). Mollison '(St. Kilda),- Stevenson (Tniori), Mitchell (Sydenham). Scott (Roslyn). Lock ■Gore), Henley (St. Albans), Laureifson ("Wellington), and Swindley (Phoenix). .
April 19. The tou-nnament w_s continued on Saturday in fine weather, when the do_fble*-h_-_d_<l four-bowl match was proceeded with. All the rounds are in an -i-obmpleto condition.
