PIGEON FLYING.
The Christchurch Homing Pigeon Society flow off its Juvenile Stakes Race from St. Andrew's on Saturday. Twenty-one owners .sent forty-nine birds to compete, only birds bred since last August being ©Usable to compete. The birds -were liberated at 12.15 pjn. Weather raining, which hindered the birds-from making good time. The winner was itr Muschamp's Miss Hamilton, which traversed -the disiance of 101 miles 1368 yards air-lino in 9hrs 44min 82sec. The following wss the result :—■!*. Muschainp's Miss Hamilton, 797 yds per minute; A Hunt's Eden, 794 yds, A. Gerard's Illusion, 747 yds; L. Saaider's Commanderr- 736 yd»: E. Smith* Decoy, 731*j_-.; H. Hearfield's Macauley, 7.6 yds; A. Parrell'a Belle, 706 yds; W. Shearman's Breakers, 698 yds; L. Phillip's Seal Rock, 591 yds; P. Chamber** Devon, 569 yds; J. McG-orm-a'a Traoey Girl, s_ydß; H. Beck's Koyal sißyds; J. Seal's —chpse, 538 yds.
