THE NEW HERMITAGE AT MOUNT COOK.
(rnus association telegram.) TIMARU, Janu-uy 18. Tha Hon, Dr. Findlay, on being interviewed by a Timaru "Post" reporter, on his return from his holiday trip to Mount Cook thd£ moTning, said he had selected a site at Governor's Bush,' _ mile and three-quarters from the present Hermitage, for the new accommodation house. Tho site comminds a splendid view of the Setton and Hooker valleys, and one of the finest of Mount Cook amd 'the higher peaks. The new Hermita_e is expected to be oomploted by tho letter end of next season. Proviaion has been made for comfortable _x*omrj)od_tion, so that with the improvement of the roads the journey to Fairlie and Mount Cook -—ill be able to be done in one day by motor.
