In connection with th© Utility Poultry Club's third egg-laying competition at Lincoln College, the number of eggs laid during last week was 83&, making a grand total of 85,644 to date. The best layings for the week wero Allan Petrie (Milton), silver Wyondottes, 30; J. H. Shaw (Christchurch), silver Wy—ndottes, 301 G. Robinson (Christchurch), white Leghorns, 29;' A. V. W. Clark© (HJalswe.ll), golden Wyandottes, 29 j Allan Petrie, whito Leghorns, 28; Mm W. 0. Sail (Cust), silver Wyandottes, 27; F. O'Brien (Christchurch), silver Wyandottes, 25; A. V. W. Clark© (Halswell), silver Wyandottes, 20. Tho highest totals to date are:— Allan Petrie, white Leghorns, 993; J. Tonge, white Leghorns, 952; Mies Rita Nixon, white Leghorns, 041; W. Forrest, black Orpingtons, 935; W. 0. Sail, white Jjeghoriis, 907; T; Kennedy, silver Wyandottes, 874; F. G. BrittaU, white Leghorns, 868.
