MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., gave judgments yesterday for plaintiffs in the following undefended civil oases:— Strange and Co. (Mr Fleeter) v. Joseph Roddick, £9 IDs 6d; same t. White Bros. end Downer, claim £8 13s Id; Aulsebrook end Co. r. Mrs A. Smith, £5 11s 2d. In the judgment summons caee H. G. Sheppard (Jlr Leathern) v. Charles Legge. claim £11 9s, the jiidgment debtor stated that his earnings averaged about £2 or £1 los per week, ami he had a wife and six children to support. The Magistrate edjounned the case for a week, and ordered the judgment debtor to produce his books. In the- ease William Pohle Morton (Mr Beattie) v. S. Rodgera and Annie Rodgers (Mr Leathern), claim for possession of premifles and £3 3s rent, judgment was giren for plaintiff for possession in three weeks. At the- Koiepoi Court yesterday a prohibition order wae cranted against WilHam Stemart. on the application of bis wif*.
