A full yarding of veal calves sold at 3s 6d to 40s. . STORE AND DAIRY CATTLE. Thero wa3 a moderate yarding of store cattle, and a-.dull sajo. Baconers made 42s to 60s, equal to 4Jd to 5d per lb, and porkers, 28s to 40s, equal to 5d to £id per lb; large stores 22s Gd to 27s 6d, medium 18s to 225, and suckers and woaners 10s 6d to lie 6d.

WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE. (SPECIAL TO "THE PRESS.") WELLINGTON, January 8. On the Stock Exchange to-day, Wellington Woollen Company's preference shares (15s paid).wero sold at 14a. Old Hauraki and May Queen shares sold at 2s. There is considonaWo enquiry for insurance company scrip. Buyers of New Zealands offered £4, South British £5 8s 6d, Standard £1 3a, and ■.National £1 6s 6d. There were sellers of Gear Meats, both descriptions, at £10 12b 6d and £2 10s, whilst Wellington Meats were quoted at £3 5s 6d, sellers (ex dividend). Talisman figures were £2 lis 6d and £2 12s 6d; Waihi £8 3a and £8 os 6d. A private caiWegram states tli.it the Near Zealand Land ajid Mortgage Coavpany has rceolved to accept the recommendation of the directors in regard to the disposal of the year's profits. The Chairman stated that the directors would probably pay a dividend next year at the rate of 8 per cent., payable in,two instalments.
