NORTH ISLAND TOURNAMENT. (FBXBB ASSOCIATION TELEGEAM.) AUCKLAND, January 6. The North Island Bowling Association Tournament opened this morning, under most favourable auspices. Lpwerda of 33 clubs sent two teams each to do battle for the banner and other prizes. The official reception of tho visiting bowlers took place on the Grafton green, Mr J. M. Minnie, president ot the Association, presiding, in place of the Mayor, who had met with a slight accident whilst playing tennis.
