Tie official bankruptcy returns for Dunedin district for the year ending December 31st show the number of bankruptcies as twcutv-four, scheduled liabilities £9121 10s 9d, scheduled assets £1709 17s Id, showing a deficiency frr the year of £7622 2s Bd. For 1906 tihe figures were:—Bankruptcies twenty-live, liabilities £10.720 oe 2d, assets £2733 10* 4d, leaving a defieaoncy oi £7980 14s 10d, or over £350 more than this year.
