LABOUR DISSENSIONS.

WELLINGTON, December 2&: Tbe Wellington Furniture Trades Union has beoeded from the Trade* *nd Labour Council, because of the attitude of the latter body in- connection with the eleclion of a deputy ropreeentfttrro of the workers on the Arbitration Court. A letter <wae sent by the Council expressing regret that com© of the Unions had been disloyal to the recommendations of the annual conference. Tho Union decided to secede, and passed a resolution to the;effect "That the Trade* and Labour Oouecil Aβ not a bona fide labour body, inasmuch ac it i» controlled by others-than prnotical txadee undoniete, vfao insist on being recognised as the mouthpiece of traces unioniem end labour generally, and use coercive means to silence any opposition. This means a perpetual state of strife, which is detrimental" fo the beet interests of labour.'
