Our Timaru correspondent writes:— The grain markets aro now lifeless. No sales have been recorded during the ;week, and thia beang co, it is impossible to give reliable quotations as to values.
The following were the pricee obtained at tho early morning market held by the Farmers' Saleyards ComSany yesterday: Cabbages, 3d, Gd and d per dozen; rhubarb, 2e to 4s per dozen; turnips, 3d to 6d per -dozen; lettuce, 6d to 10d per dozen; peas, 9d to 10d per peck; cherries, from 8d per lb; mandarins, 5s 9d to 7s 3d per case.
