Herr Stengel, Secretary of the Treasury, speaking in the Reichstag, stated that the uncovered federal contributions would amount in 1907 to 109,000,000 marks, and; 200,000,000 marks in 1908. It was different with, the Crown Prince, whoso action ho applauded. When tho Kaisor mentioned tho subject to him he (Prince Bulow) replied: "Look neither to the right hand nor to tho left. Think only of keeping the escutcheon of your houso and the Army unspotted." Prince Bulow further denied that tho Camarilla had influenced the Kaisor. Such chatter ought to cease. UNDERFED CHILDREN. LONDON, November 28. The Children's Kitchen Society reports that 14,000 children in Berlin are underfed, and live entirely upon bread and coffee.
