Wilds, for procuring liquor for Richards was fined £2. in tho caso of G. Kerr (Mr Moore; v M. Colloty, claim £-1 os for rent and tho possession of a tenement, judgment was given for plaintiff by default for tho amount claimed, and possession was ordered to bo given within a fortnight. In the case of the Canterbury Farmers' Co-oy. Association (Mr Moore) v. F. Lnno, claim £17 3s, on a judgment summons, there was no appearance of defendant, and ho was ordered to pay, in default 18 days' imprisonment. In tho case of W. Williams (Kinnerney and White) v. 1'Uonard OM-r "WMte), claim £00 for alleged <km,-jgo by tresrwfie of cattle, jiidgmont was reserved. Yesterday tMr Turton heard an application by Mr on behalf of a man who sought cancellation of a prohibition order against himselt. Judgment was reaeryod. Tlie monthly mooting of the Hospital trustees on Wednesday vraa attended by Messrs Sinclair (chairman), vValker, SmiLlie, Hart. Studholmo, Sanders, Miller, and Ilardio. Dr. Baox>lay's report showed the number or patients at last meeting in tho hospital 18, since admitted 17, total treated 3.~>; 19 were discharged and 3 died, leaving 13 remaining under treatment. Out-patients numbered 13. A petition having 1100 signatures was presonted, praying that provision bo made for tho doctors in town to bo honorary members of tho Medical and burßical staff. It was moved by Messrs Miller and Hart that tho petition be receivc-U and tho petitioners thanked, but the existing arrangements be not alteroJ. An amendment was moved by Mr Sanders and 'Mr Walker that the request of tho petitioners be acceded to, and an honorary medical staff be appoin** Tho amendment was lost, only the luovor and seconder voEing for it. In© motion was then earned. A. vote of thanks was accorded to [Mr Walker for preparing plans for the proposed new building for a laundry. Accounts for £151 17s 4d wore passed.
