+ Tli© fiftwnth festival of tho Holy Trinity, Aronsido- branch, was commemorated on Tuesday, 26tih inst.. and w«s most successful in every .way. Tho festival began with a celebration ot Holy Communion «ut 7 a.m., and shortened evensong at 7.30 p.m. wan sung by the Vicar (Canon Pi&coe), and the special proadhor won the llev. A. E. Shore, who gave an impressive fieimoa on the words, 'Young maid, 1 say unto thee Ari&o.' ; An adjournment was made into the sohoolxoom, when tho report was road, which showed 20 members ■iivd o associates hod been admitted during the year, making c Iμml of 141. The syllabus included addresses by t-he Revs. A. Mowton and C Oarrington, Dr. Thomas, Mr M. Murphy, Mr C. Bean, and Sister May; a Shakespeare reading by Mr A. Merton; also basket-making, needlework, and wood carving. The library contained 2-10 volumes. Subscriptions had been given to the Mβlaneeian and Maori Missions, also to the Churah Re-building Fund. iSoveral prizes had been gained in the diocesan Scnpture and work competition. 'After reading the report, the Vicar presented Mrs A. Merton, who bod abiy conducted the Scripture class, with a handsome silver inkstand as a" mark of appreciation from the members. The Ilex. A. E. Short? then gave an addret*, wliioh was followed by soujss, recitation*, and a tableau. Refreshments were handed round by the members of the committee, assisted by members of tho Men's Guild.
