The Government lias invited Mr Ferguson,, secretary and engineer of the Wellington Harbour Board, to visit Melbourne to -adtviso on tJio best means of providing additional harbour accommodation. OYSTER BEDS DAMAGED. . BRISBANE, November 28. Serious damage was done to the oyster bede at Hervey Bay by a large fish attaining the length of six feet. An investigation proves the fish to be the t«ctunotuß ovatue, which h&s sot previously been known to grow larger than ten inches. The stomach of one fish woe filled with crushed shell and young oysters. ENCOURAGING THE FULL CRADLE. PERTH, November 28.
