MOUNT SOMERS.
The newly-formed branch of the Mothers' Union held its first meeting in the library on Thursday afternoon. There was a fair attendance, but a considerable increase in members is expected when the aim and objects of the ITnion become more widely known. Several papers were read. The meeting adjourned for a fortnight.
