During the session , just closed 112 public Bills received the Royal assent, two were reserved for the signification of his Majesty's pleasure, and 49 were dropped or otherwise disposed of. Throe private Hills received the Royal assent. Eight hundred and eleven petitions were presented from Europeans and t>9 from Maoris. The House sat on 1)2 days, the hours of sitting before midnight being fi62 hours 25 minutes, and after midnight 10S hours 10 minutes, making a total of 770 hours 3-3 minutes.
