Munro explains that tho ■ Exhibition had received up to October 31st last £87,617 from the Treasnr.v, of whiob. £'27.117 had been refunded, ! leaving a net indebtedness to the ! Treasury of £60.500. The rote of, £17,000 on tho Supplementary Esti- J mates (passed oa Saturday evening) j was required to extinguish the Commiseionere overdraft, and was considered more than sufficient (with certain assets) to cover outstanding liabilities. The total lose to the Dominion therefore would be £60,500, plus £17.000—£77,500.
