The steamer Wootton i§ expected to arrive here to-day with, a oargo of timber from ColliiigwoocL Tho steamer Storm is expected to tail on Saturday next for Pictott. The ifceamer Defender m to go on the potent ilip to-day for cleaning and painting and overhaul. She will be brought off again ■to-morrow,, and will cail on Thursday for Wellington. The steamer Ripple Iβ expected to arrive here to-morrow from Waoganui, and will mil on Saturday next for the Chatham Islands. The Union Company's steamer Kittawa left Greymouth at midnight on Saturday with • cargo of coal for Wellington and Lytteltoa. The TJwion Oampany'a steamer Taieri will flnieli discharging to-day, when the will sail for Greymouth. ' ' • ■ The Union Company , * etoamer Xaftana is to < leave Gteymonth to-morrow with a full oargo of timber for discharge at Timaru and Lyttelton.. The I'Aviuni, which has been taking the place of the Poherua in the ooaetal oargo service, will resume her roaning- in the Island trade next month. The vessel is to leave Auckland on December 12tli for the Eastern Paciflo Islands. Mr Guy, late second engineer of the Waikare, baa joined the Harare* in a similar capacity. Mr McArtbw, late eecesd of the Monowai, has joined •tie Waikare. An alteration wijl take place in the Wel-lington-New Plymouth-Onehunga service next month, commencing on December 10th. The Rotorti will leave Wellington on Thursday, Picton on Thursday, Nelson, on Friday, New Plymouth on Saturday, arriving *t Onehiunga on Sunday; leave Oneh/unga on Monday, New Plymouth on Tueeday, arriving' Wellington on Wednesday. The Takepuna will leave Wellington on Monday, New Plymouth on Tuesday, arriving at. Onehunga on Wednesday, leave Onehunga the aame day, New Flymouth on Thursday, return to'Onehunga on Friday, leave Onwunga on Friday, New Plymouth on Saturday, arrive Wellington on Sunday. This eHerotion will involve a rearrangement of the Welfiragton-PScton-Neleon •exvioe. The PoAeena. will relieve the Fenguin in that run and the latter vessel will run m an extm steamer during the summer Boseon, Commencing on December 10th,, the Arahura will not cell at Picton either on the run to the West Coaet from Wellington or from the West Coeet to Wellington.
