Mr Geo. Ashby, eldest son of Mr A. G. Ashby. clerk oiP the Court, Kainpoi, while cycling home from town on Saturday for the -week end, wae thrown from hie machine on to hia head. He was picked up unconscious and conveyed home. Yesterday his condition had much improved under medical treatment, but it will be a day or two before ho will have fully recovered. (press association telkcram.) NELSON. November 25. A trap occupied by" Mr T. M. Grant (chief draughtsman) and Mr PairhaU (surveyor), of the Lands Department, Nelson, capsized when crossing the Matakitaki river on Sunday.- Mr Grant had ono of his legs broken, and Mr Fairhall suffered a ecverp shaking. They were taken- to Murchuson for medical attention.
