The match Wellington r Gas CSompany was won by Wellington on ihe first innin®s by 89 runs. Gas Company's eeoond jnnings closed for 98, Waters contributing 32. Wellington in the second innings scored 83 for five wiokete. Midland beat Petone by 61 on the first innings. Midland, first innings, 174 (C Hiokson 77, Upham 36); Petone, eecond inningp, 203 for six wiokete (Taylor not out 62, Cobcroft 32, 31). In tho roatoli Old Boys against Phoenix tbo former declared their innings closed with four wickets down for 242. Thicker, who on the previous Saturday bad 85 against hie name at the cell of time, had carried his score to 107 not out. J. D. BlacSlock made 63. Phcenis -made 180 in their second innings, of which Lawe made 64 and Gebbce 33. Old Boys wanted 21 rune, and had seven minutes to get them, but failed by ten runs.
