"Wheat—The muwkete axe quiet and fairly steady, but the American financial troubles are still oausing nervousness. Nothing is doing in cargoes, and 43s 6d is asked for Australian new orop, January-February shipments. There is quiet trade in Australian; on spot 45e 6d to 46». Flour is steady, and there is liittQe business. Australian is offering at 30s to 80s 6d, ex store. Butter —There is fair trade. Danish is unaltered: choicest Australian salted and unsaited, 114s to 116s. A few. lots are quoted at 1186; New Zealand, 118s to 120s. ' Sugar— German 9b 3d, first marks 10e lid. Bradford Tops—The market is quiet; forties 15} d, forty-sixes 16$ d. Others are unchanged. METALS. Copper, on spot £69, three months £58 lfis. Tin, on spot £135 10a, three month* £136 ISs. The New Zealand Fanners' Co-ope-rative Association of Canterbury, Limited, on Saturday reoeived tie following cable message from their London office:—"Wheat is 6d per.quarter cheaper. We quote to-day's value of prime Canterbury lamb delivered to Smithfield Market: Carcases, 28-36 lb, s)d per lb; 36-42 lb, SJ<I per Ib; 42----50 lb, 5Jd per lb.
