As en indication that Lieutonmit Shackleton and Captain England M Did all tlwt hy withan fhom to Promote the comfort.of their crew," it is recorded thatt on tlie day prior to the departure of the Nimrod "from Totquay a shore crew were employed for the day in order that every member of the Ninnrod's ctow should hxve an itniirterrupted and full day's leave.
