EIGHTEEN -MONTHS IMPRISONMENT.
LONDON, November 22. Frederick Helbert, formerly private secretary to Lord Carrington when Governor of New South Wales, has been sentenced to eighteen months imprisonment at tho Old Bailey <m a charge of misappropriating £850 belonging to Mice Frances McCarthy, whoso property ho managed.
