Drunken rioters, led by a m*n in an officer's uniform, raided the municipal abattoirs at Vladivostok, where many of both sexes were oniployed. The officer ordered all the employees to be hanged, but the gibbet broke while tho first execution was being attempted The order wae revoked and the officer ordered tho employees to form a line-. Ho then attacked them with hie sword, the other raiders using clubs. Many were shockingly injured before their shrieks brought the guard, when tho rioters were arrested.
